Frequently Asked Questions
Accessibility
CHANCES is here for everyone to enjoy and welcomes everyone with open arms however, whilst we try to make it as accessible as we can, it is a festival that is in a field with uneven ground and held within tipis.
If you would like further information on accessibility or have any queries, please contact us here

Antisocial behaviour
Any antisocial behaviour will be dealt with by our event security and they will liaise with the relevant and necessary authorities. We would remind people this is a charitable event and antisocial behaviour isn’t welcome, nor necessary. Positive vibes only!
Not sure what constitutes antisocial behaviour?…. Underage drinking, drugs, bad attitudes, adverse behaviour to the event, bringing your own music, or just being a drunken pain in the proverbial. Just play nice and enjoy the event and our awesome security won’t have to show you their dark side!
Children
All under 18s need a wristband, anyone needs one – you all have a head so are all on the headcount, no matter how big or how small. If you have a baby (i.,e not walking!), please contact us re your ticket. All other Children (anyone up to 18) require to purchase a Child ticket via the website. Once in they have free games, entertainment, face painting and drinks. We want to keep your mini me’s safe, the area is fully fenced off, but an adult must be with all children at all times, no under 18 can access VIP without an adult present with them). We would also advise at the gate, you use the pens provided and pop a contact name and number on the wristband so in case your little ones get separated, we can swiftly reunite you.
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency please notify event organisers and or security immediately.
In case of fire, please alert a member of the CHANCES team, and follow the instructions provided by event crew and security.
First Aid
Whilst every care is taken to ensure your safety at the event, it is necessary to have first aid in place to ensure, in the event of any medical issues, we have the right help on site. These will be located in the main arena near the food court and easy to spot. Should you have any first aid queries, head over to the first aid team who will be happy to assist.
Food & Drink
No personal food or alcohol is permitted into the event. But its OK, we have some 5 star rated food vendors and one hell of a drinks selection for you. You really won’t need to try to bring your own! (and just don’t, it will cause all sorts of extra admin!)
Illegal behaviour
We have a zero tolerance on drugs. If caught using, in possession of any, be warned your wrist band will be removed and you will be removed from the event.
Getting here and Parking
The address best to get you to the tipis, is The Windmill, Deddington, OX15 0QH.
There is some onsite parking at the Windmill centre, however, this is parking for all the communication facilities at The Windmill. We would politely ask, those attending to use public transport where possible and car share to reduce the impact of traffic. There is additional parking in Earls lane at the School and a field. However, these are at your own risk and all vehicles need to be removed by midnight ahead of the areas being locked. Should anyone choose to park on public roads, we would ask you to be courteous and respect the surrounding neighbours and local community.
Pets
We love animals, trust us we do. But a music event is no place to bring a pet, plus we aren’t allowed by the rules set by the council. Please don’t try, the answer will still be the same.
Site access
Gates will open at 1.45pm to exchange your ticket for a wristband. Music will begin shortly after. Wristbands must be worn at all times for entry to the event. The last admission to the site is 9pm. Exit is 1am for all members of the public.
Security
Event security is in place at the event and will be carrying out bag searches on the gate as well as security throughout the event. Security have the right to remove or deny entry, to anyone displaying behaviour of an adverse (or illegal) nature.
Tickets
Tickets are needed to access the event and will be exchanged for a wristband. Should there be any tickets left, we will sell these on the day at a day rate price. So we would say be organised as you will save the pennies! Student and group discounts are available, send us a message to enquire.
